Ducks Shutout Flames 1-0

The Anaheim Ducks continued their road trip when they took on the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night and walked out victorious 1-0.
Anaheim came into last night’s game coming off a win and looked to add to the momentum. The first period saw no goals but the Ducks outshot the Flames 6-4.
In the second period the Ducks scored their only goal of the night. Shawn Horcoff scored a slap shot goal that was assisted by Rickard Rakell and Hampus Lindholm and Anaheim led 1-0. Anaheim controlled the period outshooting the Flames 11-3 in the period.
The third and final period did not have any goals either. Calgary outshot the Ducks 7-4 in the period but were unable to tie the game and Anaheim got a much needed road win.
Anaheim committed 7 penalties leading to 25 penalty minutes while the Flames committed 4 penalties for 13 penalty minutes.
For the Flames Karri Ramo was in goal and made 20 saves for a 95% save percentage. John Gibson was in goal for the Ducks and made 14 saves and the shutout.
Anaheim will close out the 2015 calendar year on Thursday night when they take on the Edmonton Oilers.
