Blake Griffin Out With Torn Quad Tendon

According to Dan Woike of the Orange County Register Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin will be forced to miss time with a torn quad tendon.

Rowan Kavner of the Clippers also reported the news.
The injury occurred early against the Lakers. MRI revealed the diagnosis this morning. Initial plan is rest, will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks

Kavner reported the importance of DeAndre Jordan during this stretch.
Griffin missed 15 games, a little over a month last year after staph. Jordan in that time had 14.9 points and 18.5 rebounds, Clips went 9-6

The Clippers beat the Jazz last night without Griffin. Kavner reported that Josh Smith was going to get the start last night.

Los Angeles will take on the Washington Wizards tomorrow night. The Clippers will need their bench and everyone to set up with Griffin out of the lineup.
