Lakers Can’t Hang With Rockets Lose 107-87

The Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t hang with the Houston Rockets on Thursday night as they loss 107-87. Kobe Bryant did gave us a highlight to remember from this final chapter of his career.

With the loss the Lakers record fell to 4-22 while the Rockets improved to 13-14. James Harden led the way for the Rockets with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists.

Dwight Howard added a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Trevor Ariza reached double figures with 13 points while Patrick Beverley added 13 as well. Clint Capela and Terrence Jones also reached double figures with 10 and 16 points respectively.

For the Lakers Bryant led the way with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Lou Williams added 14 points. Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. reached double figures with 12 and 11 points. Julius Randle had a double-double off the bench with 18 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes.

Los Angeles struggled from the three point line. They connected on just 5 of 24 attempts just 21%. They didn’t do much better from the free throw line just 10/18 56%.

Up next for Los Angeles is Kevin Durant and Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder are coming off a close loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night as well.
