Kobe Bryant Provides Vintage Performance Lakers Win 108-104

@NBAcom

Kobe Bryant provided a vintage performance last night as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Washington Wizards 108-104. Last night snapped a seven game losing streak for Los Angeles.

For the Wizards John Wall had a big night. He had 34 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds. Marcin Gortat added a double-double as well at 18 points and 10 rebounds. Bradley Beal scored just 11 points in 38 minutes.

For the Lakers Bryant had his best game of the year. Bryant scored a season high of 31 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds. Jordan Clarkson added 18 points and 4 rebounds.

Julius Randle added a double-double with 15 points and 19 rebounds, and D’Angelo Russell reached double figures with 13 points.

Lou Williams and Brandon Bass also reached double figures with 12 points and 10 points respectively. Bryant scored 12 points in the fourth quarter in a way that looked so much like times in the past. The crowd was loud chanting Kobe’s name as he walked off in a Rocky like way.

The thing that was so special about last night was that it came in the second night of a back to back where Bryant didn’t play well. He shot just terrible including 3/17 from three point land.

Check out this video below of Bryant and the Lakers in last night’s victory.

For me it was a true highlight of the season watching my hero do it again in the clutch. Watching Kobe Bryant take over the way he did brought back so many memories you can’t help but smile.

With the win the Lakers improved to 3-15 on the year. They will take on the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night at Philips Arena.
