Joe Wieland Agrees To One Year Deal With Dodgers

@beisbol3bases

According to J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles News Group, the Los Angeles Dodgers have re-signed pitcher Joe Wieland to a one year deal avoiding arbitration.

Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

The Los Angeles Dodgers official Twitter account confirmed the news.

Wieland is a former fourth round pick of the Texas Rangers back in the 2008 MLB Draft. He has spent time with the San Diego Padres and Dodgers throughout the course of his young career.

Last season he made two starts for the Dodgers. He struggled as he had a 0-1 record with a 8.31 ERA. By agreeing to a deal the Dodgers avoid arbitration and it keeps the Wieland in the organization for next year.
