Padres Hire Doug Bochtler As Bullpen Coach

According to Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union Tribune, the San Diego Padres have named Doug Bochtler their new bullpen coach.
Sources: Former Padres reliever Doug Bochtler will be Andy Green‘s bullpen coach. Bochtler was the D-backs’ low-A pitching coach.

Bochtler is a former big leaguer who played for 3 seasons with the Padres. He was selected in the 9th round of the 1989 MLB draft by the Montreal Expos.
Bochtler holds a career record of 9-18 with a 4.57 ERA on the bump.
He spent time with the Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, Detroit Tigers, and Kansas City Royals. Bochtler has been a pitching coach in the minors for the last few years in the Diamondbacks organization.
