Concern With The Clippers?

The Los Angeles Clippers started the season on a four game winning streak. Fans spirits were high as they were off to their best start since the 2007 season.

But last week was a bit of a struggle. They took on the Golden State Warriors on TNT earlier in the week. It was a great game and I couldn’t keep my eyes off of the T.V. With the Warriors you know the game is going to be back and forth, up and down basketball.

The Clippers found themselves down in the 3rd Quarter but fought their way back to take a lead. They eventually loss but it was “good” loss in the fact the Clippers now know they can hang with the defending champs. The Warriors have been embarrassing everyone and one member of the Clippers staff tweeted out with the hashtag #didntloseby50 in reference to the Memphis Grizzlies losing by 50.

Doc Rivers came out and said he wasn’t happy about the tweet and so but the Clippers had another issue at hand… the Houston Rockets.

Houston came to town, they came, they saw, they conquered. Well how about James Harden and Dwight Howard did some heavy lifting. Harden ended up with 46, Howard had 20 points and 20 rebounds and the Clippers loss back to back games for the first time this season.

For me I could care less of the fact that it was back to back losses. My concern is who the losses were too. We all know the Warriors are the defending champs. The Rockets were the team that stunned the Clippers in the playoffs and you would think that the Clippers would come out with more of a chip on their shoulder.

Yes I understand that Chris Paul wasn’t playing and he is what makes that team click. But the Clippers need to figure out a way to neutralize star power in the backcourt. In playoffs Harden is going to try to score 40+ so that he can get his team back to the Western Conference Finals.
