Preview: Clippers vs. Rockets
- Updated: November 7, 2015
The Los Angeles Clippers will have the best opportunity tonight to play some bitter basketball, as they take on the Houston Rockets.
No, the Clippers faithful haven’t forgotten about what the Rockets did to them at the end of last season. AND they will be looking to bounce back from their game against the Warriors that ended their undefeated streak.
Blake Griffin, however, seems to be using all of that to his advantage this season, as he adopts a “take no prisoners” attitude. He said the following to NBA.com:
“Just like every other year when you lose in the playoffs, you think about it,” Clippers forward Blake Griffin said. “Maybe I thought about it a little bit longer.”
And Doc Rivers:
“We had a lot of game-plan mistakes throughout the game,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers said. “That’s the difference right now between us and them, them being together and them executing.”
Chris Paul was dominant as always in Wednesday’s showdown. He put up 24 points and nine assists for the Clippers, and he is looking to be ready tonight.
As for the Rockets, they managed to fight their way from being 0-3, to being 3-3. James Harden scored 34 points in their last game and combined for 55 in Houston’s two regular-season victories over Los Angeles last season. As NBA.com writes,”The 2015 MVP runner-up mustered 25 in the Rockets’ two non-playoff defeats to the Clippers.”
The game can be seen on NBA League Pass at 7:30 pm PST.
