General manager A.J. Preller has interest in keeping Luebke but with a different deal. The fact that Cory Luebke has had two Tommy John Surgeries in 2013 and is 30 years old has to be something for the front office to consider.
He hasn’t played in quite some time for the San Diego Padres but this necessarily shouldn’t mean the end. If he is able to rehab and agree to terms with a deal that suits both parties then this may be for the better.
Cory Luebke is (10-12) with a career ERA of (3.25) and WHIP of (1.104) This should be an interesting development to see what happens in the near future.
