Below is a video of the hit.
Kopitar was forced to leave the game and did not return. At this point it is unknown how much time Kopitar will miss if he even indeed is forced to be out.
On the hit I believe that it was a dirty play and you never like to see that in hockey. Yes, the fine is nice and the Kings did go on to win the game, but if Kopitar is out and the Kings lose a game or two because of it it could be a big deal.
The Kings were just one game short of making the playoffs last year so we know that every game counts.

It was a dirty play and completely unnecessary. Looks like Kopitar is okay and is going to play tonight which is a good sign!

I’ve seen it twice already and am really happy you liked it. I was wondering what you’d think while I was watching. Had to see it twice, the first time the audience drowned out dialogue with their laughter.

Kopitar’s goal was NOT on a rebound, but a beautiful pass by Doughty through traffic.
