Give The People What They Want: Clippers Vs. Warriors
- Updated: November 4, 2015
Give the people what they want they say. What do the people want? Well depends who you are. If you’re a general NBA fan you want to see Stephen Curry score as many points as possible. If you’re a fan of any of the other teams not named the Warriors you want to see someone derail the DubNation train.
About a year ago.. wow S/O to you Connor Aylward for coming up on a year with CaliSports, Aylward wrote about who the Clippers rival was. He struggled to figure out the answer but I think that answer is as clear now and he was right even before all the trash talking that as occurred between the two sides.
Here we are now at the beginning of the 2015-2016 season and both clubs are off to 4-0 starts. The Warriors have been doing by blowing teams out, while the Clippers have been focusing on getting the their new pieces on the same page.
Klay Thompson has been running his mouth. When asked about the rivalry he was quoted saying that the Warriors smacked them last year. When Doc Rivers said that the Warriors had some luck on their side, Thompson said something to the effect of we handled our business don’t blame us for your shortcomings.
While I agree with both sides of the argument, the best part of basketball is you have to play the game. You can talk all the trash you want but at the end day you have to let your play do the talking.
Believe me there will be plenty of talking between Blake Griffin, Paul Pierce, and Draymond Green. Putting Piece and Green on the same court you’re just asking for a battle of words.
One thing is for certain tonight’s game could be a preview of the Western Conference Finals. Let’s hope so and let’s hope the Clippers show up in that hostile environment in Oakland.
