Chargers Lose Keenan Allen For The Year

According to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen will miss the rest of the season after injuring his kidney on Sunday.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Allen underwent surgery yesterday.

Allen was have his best season of his career before suffering the injury. He was second in the NFL in catches with 67 and was on his way to breaking Charger records.
Adam Schefer of ESPN.com confirmed the news of the blow to the Chargers reciving core.

It looks like the Chargers can’t catch a break this season. The loss of Allen is something that will be tough to overcome and players around the league offered the support for Allen and his recovery.
