Blake Griffin Pours In 37, Clippers Beat Kings 114-109

Clippers

Blake Griffin had 37 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists as the Clippers beat the Sacramento Kings in tightly contested matchup on Saturday night.

This was the second time this week that the Kings and Clippers faced off early in the season with the Clippers winning both games.

J.J. Redick had 23 points, and Chris Paul added 17 to go along with 11 assists. DeAndre Jordan had 15 points and 18 rebounds while Jamal Crawford chipped in 10 off the bench.

Rajon Rondo continued his strong play this season. He had 21 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds on the night. Rudy Gay added 20 and Darren Collison chipped in 15 off the bench.

DeMarcus Cousins had 13 points and 9 rebounds but was limited to just 15 minutes with a sore achilles. Marco Bellini and Omri Casspi also reached double figures off the bench with 11 and 10.

With the win the Clippers are off to their best start since the 2007-2008 season. Griffin is having a monster year but isn’t necessarily getting the attention deserves due to Stephen Curry‘s fast start. Mike Richman of The Oregonian reported.

The Clippers will take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night as they look to push their record to 4-0.
