- Updated: October 31, 2015
The Los Angeles Lakers traveled to Sacramento on Friday night to take on the Sacramento Kings. After losing on opening night to the Minnesota Timberwolves the Lakers looked to rebound with a win.
Kobe Bryant who showed fans a mixed bag on Friday was better to an extent. He went 5/12 from the field but just 1/8 from behind the arch as he totaled 13 points.
Jordan Clarkson had a strong game for the Lakers. He had 22 points and 4 rebounds on 10/15 shooting. D’Angelo Russell reached double figures with 13 and Roy Hibbert chipped in 10.
Nick Young had 17 and Ryan Kelly reached double figures with 10 off the bench.
For the Kings Rajon Rondo had a strong game scoring the basketball. He went 9/13 from the field scoring 21 points and collecting 8 assists.
DeMarcus Cousins shot just 5/15 from the field but he had a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Rudy Gay added 19 and Willie Cauley-Stein was just 1 rebound away from his first double-double as he scored 17 points and grabbed 9 boards.
Darren Collison and Omri Casspi both reached double-digits off the bench with 14 and 12 respectively. The Los Angeles defense was terrible as the Kings shot almost 52% from the field. The Lakers were also outrebounded 56-37.
It was not a good effort for the purple and gold, and they will look to rebound against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night.
