Washington Nationals To Hire Bud Black

According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports the Washington Nationals will name former San Diego Padres manager Bud Black as their new skipper.

Black played in the majors for over 15 years as pitcher. He was part of the Kansas City Royals team that won the World Series in 1985.
He went on to be a pitching coach for the Los Angeles Angels on Mike Scioscia‘s staff. He was on the staff that beat the San Francisco Giants in the 2002 World Series.
Black then went on to manage the San Diego Padres in 2007. He held the helm until early this season when the club got off to a slow start and he was relieved of his duties.
