The news does not come as much of a surprise after the Kings called up Jamie McBain on Thursday night. Greene was selected in the 2nd round of the 2002 NHL draft by the Edmonton Oilers. He spent 3 years with the Oilers before joining the Kings. Greene appeared in all 82 games. It is unknown how long Greene will be out but as soon as he is healthy he will called up immediately.
