Fred Roggin of NBCLA also reported the news.
#Dodgers and Don Mattingly mutually agree to part ways. Mattingly reportedly turned down an extension. — Fred Roggin (@FredNBCLA) October 22, 2015
The Dodgers have an extremely high payroll with the extreme expectations and since they have not won or reached the World Series Mattingly has been on the hot seat.
It will be interesting who the Dodgers will look to replace Mattingly.
ESPN Stats & Info reported some of the struggles Mattingly suffered in the playoffs.

Management had high praise and respect for Mattingly but there was no long term commitment so he will look elsewhere.
I really liked Donnie and wish him the best in Florida or wherever he winds up.
