Jordan Hill scored 22 points and 13 rebounds as the Lakers beat the Pistons 106-96. The Lakers were coming off a win against the Raptors Sunday night and looked to push the winning streak to two games.

Kobe Bryant struggled to find his shot as the Pistons held Bryant scoreless in the first half. Bryant scored all 12 of his points tonight in the third quarter as the Lakers opened up a 16 point lead.

The Lakers had excellent balance as they had 6 different players scored in double digits. Nick Young scored 19 points off the bench including 3 bombs from behind the arch. Kobe Bryant played the role of the facilitator as he scored 12 points and dished out 13 assists.

The Lakers shot the ball extremely well from the floor as they shot 48% from the field. More importantly the three ball was the Lakers best friend. They connected on 10 of 17 attempts, an outstanding 59%.

For the Pistons Josh Smith had a strong game. He scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss. The Pistons are in the midst of a tough streak as tonight marked their ninth in a row.

Stan Van Gundy told ESPN.com about the Pistons struggles.

“Offensively, we just continue to be awful,” Detroit coach Stan Van Gundy said. “We’re really messed up right now as a team.”

“We have a lot of dilemmas, a lot of guys feeling pressure, but we’re really not right mentally right now,” he said. “That’s got to change before anything else does.”

The Lakers have now won two in a row and will continue their road trip tomorrow night in Washington.
