RECAP: Mets 13, Dodgers 7

In one of the most controversial games of the season, The Dodgers lose to the New York Mets, 13-7.
With the lingering effects of Game 2 of this series, the slide of Chase Utley and the injury of Ruben Tejada fresh in the minds of the very vicious crowd of 44,277 at Citi Field. This game was delayed for several minutes, at first though was for the security of Second baseman Chase Utley, who was ruled out for this game and Game 4, but the Umpires and Managers of both teams were discussing the malfunction of the replay telephones, which added to the more drama this game.
The Mets took total control of this game by the second inning. New York came back to answer the Dodgers in the bottom of the second inning, after the Dodgers had taken a 3-run lead, to put this game out of reach.
New York also added runs in the third, fourth and the seventh to win this game. Mets starter Matt Harvey (W,1-0), gave his team five solid innings, while striking out seven Dodgers in the process, while pleaded his case to Manager Terry Collins, to return to the game after the fourth inning, to pick up the win for team.
Curtis Granderson was the biggest thorn in the side of the Dodgers all night. Granderson redeemed himself after a throwing error, that allowed Carl Crawford to score, on a double by Yasmani Grandal. In the bottom of the inning, Granderson delivered a bases clearing double, to give the Mets a 4-3 lead, in which the never gave up. Dodgers starter Brett Anderson (L, 0-1), just simply had nothing in the tank for the team and was done after only three innings.
Howie Kendrick and Adrian Gonzalez were the only bright spots for the Dodgers, as they both homered in the game, Gonzalez hit a solo-shot in the top of the seventh to left and Kendrick hit a three run-shot in the top of the ninth, to left center.

The team is now facing elimination but not to worry, the Dodgers will send Clayton Kershaw (0-1, 4.05 ERA), to the mound, in an effort to send this series back to Los Angeles. He will be opposed by Steven Matz (No Record).
The Mets will try to end this series tonight, game time is set for 8:07pm EST, from Citi Field in Queens New York.
