- Updated: October 8, 2015
LOS ANGELES, Ca- According to Elliotte Friedman of SportsNet.ca the Los Angeles Kings and former forward Mike Richards are trying to work out a settlment over the termination of his contract.
And, as @TSNBobMcKenzie reported, LA working towards some kind of reduced buyout with Mike Richards. Not sure of details, but both trying.

Richards had 5-years and over $20 million dollars left on his contract before the club voided it. The voiding of the contract saved the Kings millions of dollars that allowed them to make necessary moves this offseason.
Frank Seravalli of TSN Hockey reported that teams around the league are not happy with the way the Kings handled the situation.
Regular buyout of Richards’ deal incl cap hit of $4.2M in 2018-20. Many teams believed #LAKings wrongly terminated deal for temp cap relief.
