Padres Part Ways With Pat Murphy

SAN DIEGO, Ca- According to Corey Brock of the San Diego Padres, the Padres have decided not to retain interim manager Pat Murphy.

Bob Nightengale of the USA Today also reported the news.
And the firings begin with the #Padres dumping manager Pat Murphy, which was widely anticipated.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reported the news too.

Murphy took over for long time manager Bud Black early in the season. Black was fired after a 32-33 record. Murphy led to the Padres to a 42-54 record.
The Padres ended the season over the weekend with a 74-88 record, far below expectations.
