ANAHEIM, CA- According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have signed free agent pitcher Mat Latos.

Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reported some of the details of Latos’ contract.

Jeff Fletcher reported the role that Latos may have on the club.
Mike Scioscia said Mat Latos could start or pitch out of the bullpen. Just whatever they need.

Latos was released by the Dodgers last week. It will be interesting to see how productive he will be for the Angels who are in the middle of a playoff chase.
