RECAP: Dodgers Take Care Of Arizona, 9-5

The Los Angeles Dodgers bounced back form a very bad game with the Arizona Diamondbacks, to claim a 9-5 victory. The Dodgers bats were definitely the key to this win.

Carl Crawford got the scoring started in the top of the first, leading off the game with his fourth of the season. Adrian Gonzalez homered for the 27th time this season, to right field, in the top of the third, to extend the lead to three. A few batter’s later, Joc Pederson, took Arizona starter Rubby De La Rosa,(L,12-8), deep, for his 25th of the season. Rookie Corey Seager, connected off of reliever Josh Collmenter, for his first career homer, while going a perfect 4-4.

Something amazing happened to J.P.Howell,(W,6-1), in this game as well. After only one pitch, Howell was awarded with the win, now that’s a great way to win baseball games, if you’re a MLB pitcher.

Los Angeles,(81-60), managed to shake off the two-game skid and inch closer to a .500 road record, the team is currently 34-39 on the road this season. The team will wrap-up the final game in Arizona this season. Zack Greinke,(16-3, 1.68 ERA), will take on Patrick Corbin,(5-3, 3.32 ERA), in the finale of the series.

The Dodgers still holds a very good lead in the National League West, 7.5 over their second place rivals, the San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks are in third place, 13.5 games behind the division leaders.
