Clippers Beat Jazz End Road Trip 6-1

When the Los Angeles Clippers started their 7 game road trip there were a lot of questions surrounding the team. Now that it’ over, Clippers fans can relax as they ended the trip with a 112-96 victory over the Utah Jazz.

The Clippers were coming off a win against the Houston Rockets last night and looked to extend their winning streak against the Jazz. Blake Griffin scored 28 points, and Chris Paul scored 17 points and dished out 10 assists as the Clippers extended their winning streak to four in a row.

It seems as if the Clippers have found their shooting touch on the road. Tonight, they shot 57% from the field, and 39% from three. Jamal Crawford continued his strong play off the bench. He scored 22 points including 4 three pointers.

The Clippers were in control the entire night. They dominated the first quarter 35-18, and the Jazz were unable to respond. Gordon Hayward had a huge game. The Butler product, scored 30 points, going 4-5 from three point land.

Derrick Favors scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the loss. The Jazz struggled from the free throw line as they connected on just 21 of 33 attempts.

J.J. Redick scored 13 points as well for the Clippers as they improved to 6-1 on the road trip. Former Clippers player Corey Maggette approved of the Clipper performance on the road.

It’s been a while, but the Clippers will finally play a home game on Monday night. They will play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
