Metta World Peace formerly known as Ron Artest was part of the Lakers championship team back in 2010. He played alongside Kobe Bryant and was a fan favorite during his time.
He spent four season with the purple and gold before signing a 2-year deal with the Knicks. That didn’t pan out too well and he hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2013-2014 season.
World Peace is know for his toughest and unpredictability. Laker fans will always remember him for his heroics in the Phoenix Sun series as he made the game winning layup. But more importantly his game 7 performance that helped the Lakers win the most recent title.
At this point in World Peace’s career it is unknown how much he has left in the tank. However many experts believe he could be a perfect role model for Lakers youngster Julius Randle.
