RECAP: Dodgers Beat Cincinnati, 8-3

The Los Angeles Dodgers take the third game of the series with a 8-3 win.

The Dodgers show off their power last night in the win, displaying the long ball. After a Todd Frazier two run-homer in the top of the first. The team went to work in the bottom of the second inning. Yasiel Puig, hit a deep shot to center field, for his 10th homer of the season.

Jimmy Rollins added a singled to left center, scoring Carl Crawford, to even the game at two. The inning was capped off by Enrique” Kike” Hernandez, he delivered a three run shot that cleared the left center field wall, his sixth of the season and the Dodgers took the lead for good.

The Dodgers added more home runs in the third and fourth innings, Justin Turner hit an opposite field homer to right field, that was just inside the foul pole for his 14th of the season. Adrian Gonzalez also hit an opposite field homer, his 24th of the year, to give the Dodgers the lead and the final runs at 8-3.

Brett Anderson,(W,7-7), picked up his win,on six innings of work, striking out three and only allowing the Reds the three runs. Cincinnati starter David Holmberg,(L,1-2), gave up seven runs on the three Dodgers homers, was done after the second inning.

Los Angeles,(66-51), has now won two of the first three games in this series. The team will go for their third straight win this afternoon, out at Dodgers Stadium. Zack Greinke,(12-2, 1.59 ERA), will take the mound against Cincinnati Reds,(51-64), starter Anthony DeSclafani,(7-7, 3.75 ERA). The Dodgers are still in first place in the National League West, 2.5 games ahead of the second place San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati is now 23.5 games behind the first place St. Louis Cardinals, in the National League Central.
