According to Arash Markazi of ESPN.com the Los Angeles Clippers have waived forward Jordan Hamilton.

Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

Hamilton signed a 10-day contract back in February and was brought on for the remainder of the season. He played in 14 games starting in 2 of them with the club last season.

Some fans including Luke Mitchell of CaliSports tweeted out their thanks for his efforts.

The LATimes.com reports the following on Hamilton:

“Coach Doc Rivers had praised Hamilton’s offensive potential but acknowledged concerns about whether the 24-year-old could play the kind of defense that would make him a rotation player.

The Clippers are particularly deep at Hamilton’s position with Paul Pierce, Lance Stephenson and Wesley Johnson all having joined the team this summer. The Clippers could sign another player or leave the spot open in case they preferred to make a move after the season starts.

Hamilton, a former Compton Dominguez High player who also played at Texas, has averaged 5.5 points and 2.6 rebounds on 40.5% shooting in 140 career NBA games with the Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets and Clippers.”

We wish nothing but the best for Hamilton. Thank you for all your services!
