Big Baby, or if you want his “government name” Glen Davis, has yet to be re-signed by the Los Angeles Clippers. Although reports out of the Clippers cam say they are optimistic about signing him, Glen Davis has been thinking about the future. Even if that future involves him playing in greener pastures.
Glen Davis averaged 12.2 minutes last season which wasn’t a lot, but with the Clippers’ new additions, it could be unlikely for him to get as many again. Davis is comfortable with Doc Rivers, the two have a history together, and he’s ok with being the end of the bench player, as long as he gets some court time. LA, however, haven;t made any offers past initiating a conversation and this is why Davis is in the position that he is.
A source told Sportando that Big Baby is open to playing overseas in leagues like China and such. The following quote is from their website:
“Glen Davis is open to playing overseas if he doesn’t sign a contract in the NBA, a source told Sportando.
Big Baby is in talks to re-sign with the Clippers but if they won’t reach a deal, the center may join the Chinese League or one of the European top divisions.
Davis has played 74 games with the Clippers this past season averaging 4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12 minutes of action.”
