Trades are in the air folks! As the MLB deadline approaches, and the NBA free agency is still in season, the LA Galaxy have decided to get in on it all. They have signed goal keeper, Donovan Ricketts, from Orlando City Soccer Club.

Although we are still waiting for additional details, the Orlando Sentinel has confirmed that Orlando have sent Ricketts to LA in exchange for a second round pick in the MLS Super Draft (2016).

Donovan Ricketts is a good pick up for the Galaxy. He started Orlando City’s inagural season strong for them and the Galaxy just released their goalie, Jaime Penedo.

The gaffa, Bruce Arenas, told the media he is hoping to have Ricketts in time for this weekend when LA takes on the Colorado Rapids.

Donovan Ricketts was selected by the Lions in the MLS Expansion Draft and he will provide veteran presence in net. He allowed 14 goals in 10 games with two shutouts, but it was his strength at the back that provided the team with a sense of calm.

Welcome to LA Donovan!
