Padres To Be “Sellers” At Deadline
- Updated: July 23, 2015
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports the San Diego Padres will be “sellers” this year at the trade deadline.
#Padres officially are sellers. Venable, Benoit also could move, along with Kimbrel and any of SPs, with Ross perhaps least likely.

Rosenthal reported that Will Venable and Joaquin Benoit, and Craig Kimbrel are all possibilities to be traded along with any of the starting pitchers. Tyson Ross looks to be the guy the Padres would like to keep the most.
Rosenthal also reported that Justin Upton is the most likely to be traded off the Padres roster.
JUpton could return from minor oblique strain today, but #Padres might hold him out until tomorrow to be safe. Most likely SD player to go.

Jayson Stark of ESPN.com reported that it is believed that the Padres would love to unload Shields and his contract if possible.
#Padres listening more intently than ever on Justin Upton & Ian Kennedy, and would “love to trade (James) Shields,” other execs report.
