Last nights game can be described as a struggle, even the score suggests so. The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Dallas Mavericks 140-106.

The positive to the game was the return of Wayne Ellington, who had been relieved of play following a family tragedy. Click here to read about it.

Kobe Bryant was not on the court the last time the Lakers gave up 140 points, he said this:

“Man, they’ve got a lot of shooters,” said Bryant, who missed his first eight shots and was 6 of 22 for 17 points. “They blitzkrieg-ed us there.”

Kobe also had a strong opinion about contracts, hometown discounts, and Dirk Nowitzki, read about it here.

Jeremy Lin came up with 18 points and Bryant chalked up 17.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 23 points before sitting out for the entire fourth quarter, and the Mavericks used the NBA’s highest-scoring offense to roll to a 140-106 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

The Mavericks won their sixth straight game overall and fourth in a row against the Lakers, who were swept by Dallas in the regular season for the first time in 2013-14.

“We just moved the ball,” Parsons said after the Mavericks scored their most points since beating Phoenix 140-116 on April 5, 2009. “People had good shots. If someone had a better shot, we moved the ball.”

The Lakers are now 3-10 and will take on the Denver Nuggets tomorrow night in LA.
