Zack Greinke was superb in tonight’s win over the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-0.

The 2015 All-Star shined, as he made a strong case to be the National League’s starting pitcher in the All-Star game next week. Greinke one hit the Phillies, over eight innings, only giving up a single to Ryan Howard, in the second inning and retiring the next 21 Phillies he faced. The Dodgers second ace, also lowered his ERA to a MLB best, 1.39.

The Dodgers offense once again feasted off of the Phillies pitching, scoring with ease, on a two run double by Yasiel Puig in the fourth inning. Adrian Gonzalez connected with his 17th homer of the season, a two run shot, in the sixth inning and Puig also launch a two run shot over the center field wall, for his 4th of the season in the bottom of the eighth inning, that was his first since June 10th.

The win gave the Dodgers,(49-38), another series win, as they took three of four from the Phillies,(29-59). The team will now take on the Milwaukee Brewers at home, in the final series before the All Star break.

Jimmy Nelson is expected to start for the Brew Crew, while Mike Bolsinger should take the hill for the Boys in Blue.

Los Angeles remains in first place in the National League West, 5.5 games ahead of the San Francisco Giants. Philadelphia is now 30 games below .500 and are 19 games behind the first place Washington Nationals, in the National League East.

Hands down the best, along with CK. ERA .73 lower than Scherzer.

I agree with you Alison, Greinke has pitched very well this season, with the ERA to prove it as well.
