It was uncertain if the Kings were going to bring back McBain. Jon Rosen of lakingsinsider.com reported that the Kings were not working on a deal with the defender a few days ago.

Mcbain is a former second round pick of the Carolina Hurricanes back in 2006. Originally from Edina, Minnesota he spent the first 4 years of his career with the Hurricanes.
He then spent a season with the Buffalo Sabers before moving to the Kings.
McBain did record 9 points in 26 games for the Kings last season. He was able to work his way into the rotation after Slava Voynov received a suspension for an extended period of time.
The Kings have been quite busy this offseason and it’s nice to see them bring McBain back to the team. As more information surfaces about the Kings moves we will keep you updated.
