- Updated: November 19, 2014
The Los Angeles Clippers traveled to Orlando and beat the Magic 114-90. Tonight was the start of a 7 game road trip for the Clippers, and they played well from top to bottom. Jamal Crawford scored 22 points, and Chris Paul scored 16 points and dished out 9 assists to lead the Clippers to victory.
The Clippers were coming off a loss to the Bulls and needed this type of effort to bounce back from the embarrassment. Click here to read the recap of that game.
Blake Griffin added 20 points, while Matt Barnes and Jordan Farmar added 13 apiece. Coming into the game the Clippers were concerned with the excellent Magic 3 point shooting. The Magic ranked first in the league in that category, but it looked as if the roles were reversed tonight. The Magic struggled from behind the arc as they hit just 8 of their 24 three-point attempts, while the Clippers connected on 12 of 21.
The main reason for the Clippers large victory was from offensive execution. Anytime the Clippers can shoot 54% from the field, its going to be a long night the opponent.
For the Magic, Nikola Vučević continued his strong play this season. He scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Tobias Harris also had a strong game. He scored a game high 25 points.
The Clippers will hit the floor again tomorrow night as they take on Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat. Superstar Dwyane Wade will most likely miss the game due to a hamstring injury.
