Recap: Dodgers 2, Marlins 3 – Kershaw Is Fine

The narrative today and tomorrow will be that Kershaw just lost his 6th game of the year, the Dodgers offense looked droll against Tom Koehler, and that Clayton Kershaw now has twice as many loses this year as last year but I’m here to tell you all, don’t believe the hype.

Under this loss is a silver lining, sure Clayton gave up 3 runs, but 2 of them were unearned and mistakes happen, unfortunately it happened today. Kershaw went 7 inning, had 109 pitches, striking out 9, while walking none, which was very Kershawesque. He’ll be fine, he is fine, he’s still one of the best pitcher in the league, just because he didn’t continue to be MVP Kershaw doesn’t mean he’s not great anymore.

In other news; Justin Turner continue to prove that he really is this good and even if we didn’t like the Juan Uribe trade, we can see why they did it, to make sure this guy’s in the line up, he hit another home run, his 11th, in the first to start the game off well and Adrian Gonzalez got an RBI in the 4th but it wasn’t enough.

Basically this game was just baseball and even though it goes down as an L, it’s a game that we will win 9 times out of 10 and the team is still playing a lot better lately. The fact that we’re finally putting up runs on the road is a huge plus and the team looks a lot more competitive.
