Lakers Win On The Road, Beat Hawks 114-109

The Los Angeles Lakers earned their first road win of the season last night as they beat the Atlanta Hawks 114-109. Kobe Bryant made history as he scored his 32,000th point of his career. Click here to read more about the accomplishment.
Kobe Bryant scored 28 points to lead the Lakers, and Nick Young made his season debut. Young scored 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in his return. The Lakers were coming off of a bad loss against the Golden State Warriors, but things looked completely different in this one.
Carlos Boozer had a big game going up against his former teammate in Paul Millsap. Boozer scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Millsap scored 29 points of his own.
Jordan Hill scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Jeremy Lin scored 15 and dished out 10 assists. The Lakers had one of their better performances on the offensive side of the ball as they shot 55% from the field.
For the Atlanta Hawks, Jeff Teague had a big game. He scored 23 points while Al Horford scored 15 and grabbed 8 rebounds.

“It’s been tough,” Bryant said. “But you find beauty in the process.”
The loss was the first loss at home for the Atlanta Hawks this season. The Lakers will travel to Houston to take on the Rockets in the second game of a back to back tomorrow night.
