Hollywood Blvd. News – San Diego Chargers Edition

Although the San Diego Chargers are saying they love L.A., L.A. isn’t reciprocating. And they definitely don’t love the negotiating style of Mark Fabiani.

Fred Roggin of NBC LA spoke on 1090 AM San Diego about Fabiani, and his words weren’t so friendly. U-T San Diego reports him saying,

“Given the way they’re conducting business, do you want to be in business with them? If you could pick, would you want to be in business with somebody who is spinning out of control, telling everybody a different story, trying to manipulate?

…We’re not stupid people, and would you want to be in business with someone that you couldn’t trust, that every 35 seconds changes his mind, or you are sitting across talking from him comes up with a reason to walk out of the room? I think that’s going to hurt the Chargers in Los Angeles.

He further implied that the Chargers need to improve their sales, public relations and marketing techniques if they are to succeed in L.A.

“See, in San Diego, the Chargers are the big dog. NFL rules. They’re the big dog. They’ve been treated that way. My understanding is they haven’t been that philanthropic in the community. They’ve been there. And it’s accepted.

When you come here, it’s a different story. Especially if there’s another NFL franchise here. You’re not the big dog anymore. You’ve got to fight for your position.”

What do you guys think about the Chargers current stadium situation? Which direction do you see it going in? Do you want them to stay?
