After the Los Angeles Dodgers 1-0 win over the Texas Rangers last night Clayton Kershaw can relax. This was not the case on Wednesday, however. The Dodgers lost to the Rangers 5-3 in that game and tempers were flying, especially that of Kershaw.
As a Texas Rangers’ blog so aptly put it, “Kershaw isn’t used to getting hit out of the ballpark.” And then Joey Gallo happened. Prior to that Clayton had only allowed one homer to a left handed hitter. He seemed to handle Gallo pretty well in the first inning by serving him a strikeout.
Gallo then dominated with a 1-1 pitch in the fourth inning which put his team up 3-0. Check out the hit below, via MLB.com:
And Kershaw knew it had gotten away from him immediately. So this hit combined with allowing the Rangers’ pitcher Wandy Rodriguez to reach base earlier in the fourth, Kershaw was far from pleased.
And now the moment you have been waiting for, see below for Clayton Kershaw‘s temper tantrum! Video via Pat Dooney:
