As I write this, there are tears in my eyes. In my head, and on my TV, its June 13th, 2014. The LA Kings are about the win the Stanley Cup for the second time in three years. And it’s going to be amazing.
In a couple of weeks, the Kings won’t be the reigning Stanley Cup Champions any more. That glorious trophy will be passed along to the Chicago Blackhawks or the Tampa Bay Lightning. (Here come those tears again! And let’s go Lightning!!!) So instead of focusing on the parts that give Kings fans sad tears, here’s to the good times, and the happy tears. Here’s to the LA Kings 2014 Stanley Cup Championship run.
