According to Corey Brock of MLB.com San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers will undergo tests today to see how his wrist is healing.

Myers went on the 15-day disabled list due to wrist tenidatius. The testing will progress his progression with the hopes of him landing back in the lineup sooner rather than later.

Dennis Lin of San Diego Union-Tribune reported that manager Bud Black is feeling positive about Myers progress.

On April 10th Bobby DeMuro wrote the following about the overwhelming potential of Wil Myers and the San Diego Padres:

“Sure, the Padres have Matt Kemp who played in every April game and led the team in hitting, but Wil Myers has been the most impressive member of the San Diego Padres this year, especially when considering the Padres weren’t sure what they were going to get from him after a season in Tampa Bay in 2014 where he only slashed .222/.294/.320.

Now, though, Myers led the league in at-bats, games played, and runs scored in April, and slashed .286/.307/.480 with a team-leading four home runs and another seven doubles in the month.

Sure, he’s only walked twice against 20 strikeouts, and sure, there are a couple selections better on the Padres than Myers, but even though he’s a less-obvious choice, he’s no less important to the club.”
