The Los Angeles Galaxy travel to Texas tonight to take on FC Dallas. This game is apart of the LA Galaxy’s eight game road trip across the states.
Robbie Rogers will return to the lineup tonight after being sidelined with a knock in the Galaxy’s game against the Colorado Rapids. Juninho will also be back tonight after he was only allowed a few minutes of play against Salt Lake due to an illness that the team says has now passed.
MLS.com reports that the LA Galaxy are undefeated in Carson in their last seven matches in regular league play which dates back to the beginning of the 2010 season.
The team discusses how much they are missing Robbie Keane in the lineup, as reported by LAGalaxy.com
“We miss Robbie’s creativity and flair but we have to step up and show our qualities more than we have in the last couple of games,” midfielder Stefan Ishizaki told LAGalaxy.com. “We have to play safe and make sure they’re not off countering… we can be a little bit more direct and play more in-behind which was something that we didn’t do against Salt Lake.”
The Galaxy will have to focus in order to combat Dallas striker Fabian Castillo, who is thought to be an early MVP candidate:
“He’s so dangerous because he’s fast and good on the ball,” defender A.J. DeLaGarza said. “He can score goals, he can assist, he’s just a good technical player with a lot of pace who is tough to play against. We have to do it collectively as a team to shut him down.”
Arena said the following regarding the possible weather situation:
“We’re going to have storms again tomorrow. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have a delay in the game tomorrow. But there’s nothing we can do because no one can plan for it,” Arena said. “You just hope that the players can keep the right focus, understand the timeline and get themselves ready for whenever the kick off is.”
Let’s get this win LA Galaxy!!
