Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Alex Guerrero has come out of the gates sprinting. He has 5 home runs in 23 at bats and many fans are screaming for him to get more playing time.
The Dodgers have no problem hitting home runs this season. They lead the majors with 28 bombs in 19 games. The next closest NL team is 7 home runs behind them, and big part of the long balls is Guerrero’s fast start. Let’s be honest chicks dig the long ball baby.
Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports shared his thoughts of Guerrero last night.
Alex Guerrero now has five home runs in 21 at-bats. Pretty sure the Dodgers are going to figure out how to get that into their lineup daily.

Not bad for a rookie right? I completely agree with Passan though. No matter how good the Dodgers bats have been this season they should ride Guerrero out. Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register shared some of Guerrero’s statistics via Twitter.
Alex “Sabor Del Dia” Guerrero now batting .524 with 1.855 OPS, 2nd on #Dodgers with 5 HRs and 13 RBI — in 23 plate appearances

Guerrero fans may get what they are wishing for. Carl Crawford left yesterday’s game after sliding into third base awkwardly. He left the game and it is unknown what the diagnosis of the injury will be.
With Crawford out the Dodgers will most likely turn to Guerrero who play multiple positions in the infield and the outfield.
Let’s see what the Alex Guerrero can do with some playing time!
