Yasiel Puig & Joel Peralta Land On 15-Day DL

According to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig and relief pitcher Joel Peralta are heading to the disabled list.

Puig has been dealing with hamstring issues this season and he was forced to missed time last week. He re-injured his hamstring during Friday’s game and the Dodgers want to take precautionary measures with their Cuban star.
Earlier this afternoon Plunkett announced that Puig was not going to be in today’s lineup marking the 6th game out of the last 11 he has missed to the hamstring issues.

Plunkett also reported that Puig was in the batting cages this morning which is progress from yesterday.

With Peralta he is suffering from dead arm and has very little strength in his shoulder. Andre Ethier with take over for Puig in the outfield.
Scott Baker who is starting today for the boys in blue and Carlos Frias will take the two roster spots opened by Puig and Perlata going on the DL.
