We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the San Diego Chargers.
According to Ian Rapport of NFL.com a Rivers to Tennessee trade is a little more complicated than seen on the surface:
“We have all heard the numerous rumors concerning the San Diego Chargers quarterbackPhilip Rivers. We’ve heard that he wasn’t ready to sign a long-term deal with the Bolts. We’ve heard he won’t play if the team was moved. There was the one that the Chargers were going to trade him to.. you can fill in the blank. The one rumor that has been consistent is the rumor that the Chargers and the Tennessee Titans have been working behind the scenes on a deal that would basically end up giving the Bolts the #2 overall pick, giving them ability to draft Marcus Mariota.
Any team that would take on Rivers would want him to commit to a long-term deal. Rivers has an expiring deal and it would be hard to convince a team to “rent” him out for a year.”

The Los Angeles Times provides an update to potential stadium move for the Chargers:
“As of yesterday, the huge UFO (original) looking stadium design has been ruled out. So, it is good news for those who took to social media to discuss their dislike.
According to a report written by the Los Angeles Times, both teams, San Diego Chargers and the Raiders, have reached an agreement to completely “overhaul.” Apparently, the original design and pictures were created with only input from San Diego, not the Raiders.
The lead designer on the job says they are attempting a more “sleek” look.
“We wanted the building to be iconic and sleek, like a luxury sports car. Ver aerodynamic, in motion, flowing lines from every angle.”
But wait, that’s not all! The new stadium will be shooting lightning bolts, because why not, right?”
