Will Middlebrooks To Play First This Spring?

According to A.J. Cassevell of MLB.com San Diego Padres third basemen Will Middlebrooks may be getting some reps in at first base this spring.

Middlebrooks who was accquired this offseason by the Padres has spent his whole career in the AL with the Boston Red Sox. There he played third base but spoke to Cassevell about the possiblity of playing first in the NL.

Being able to be versatile in the NL especially in the late game situations will add another dynamic to the 2015 Padres. For Middlebrooks he is hoping that he can find his swing after struggling the past two years.
