Marian Gaborik Out 8 Weeks With Foot Injury

According to Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Kings forward Marian Gaborik will miss eight weeks due to a foot injury.
Per Kings GM Dean Lombardi, Gaborik will be out eight weeks because of foot injury incurred at the World Cup.

Team Europe GM Miro Satan said Gaborik took a puck to the foot during Sunday’s game and is being checked by doctors. Word expected later.

Gaborik is 34-years old and will turn 35 during the season. He has spent the last three years with the club where he played in 54 games last season.
Gaborik scored 12 goals and 10 assists and provides veteran leadership to the group. For Los Angeles this is not the kind of news anyone wants to hear as the season is right around the corner.
