The Los Angeles Lakers lost tonight against the Utah Jazz. The game ended 94-85.

The Lakers were without Kobe Bryant tonight, following a record breaking night last night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Swaggy P brought in 23 points off the bench tonight. Jordan Hill was also able to add 16 points. Nick Young had an impressive night without teammate Kobe Bryant. He went 13 of 13 from the free throw line, meaning he attempted three more free throws than the Jazz did as a team.

The Lakers captured the lead quickly in the second quarter after Young converted a three-point play to put the Lakers up 34-32. It wasn’t until Hayward and Favors’ layups during a 7-0 run which handed Utah the lead again. Hill had back-to-back jumpers in the right before halftime to give the Lakers a 41-39 lead. But Rudy Gobert converted a three-point play which allowed the Jazz to take the lead 44-43 at the end of the second.

For the Utah Jazz, Derrick Favors put up 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Trey Burke added 20 points. They broke their three game losing streak tonight. The Jazz has won seven of its last 10 games with Los Angeles, dating to the 2011-12 season.

Up next the Lakers take on the Phoenix Suns on Monday.
