Los Angeles Kings End Skid; W 3-1

The Los Angeles Kings headed out on their five game road trip tonight. Tonight’s game was against the New Jersey Devils and the Kings came out on top, winning 3-1!

Mike Richards returned tonight and although he did not get on the scoreboard, he did set up a nice chance for Trevor Lewis.

Anze Kopitar came in clutch tonight for LA. He not only had a goal but also two assists. Newbie Andrej Sekera and Tyler Toffoli added the other two for the Kings, Marian Gaborik added two assists too. The ever-reliable Jonathan Quick made 19 saves.

As for the New Jersey Devils, Scott Gomez scored and Cory Schneider made 30 saves. The Devils lost their second straight game and are on the verge of being knocked out of the Eastern Conference playoff race with nine games left.

Tyler Toffoli scored his 21st goal with the Kings and they are now tied for third in the Pacific Division with the Calgary Flames.

Up next LA will take on all three of New York’s teams in the span of four days. Bring on the Rangers!
