Los Angeles Kings Beat Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3

The Los Angeles Kings went out tonight and beat the Columbus Blue Jackets. The game ended 4-3.

Jeff Carter and Dwight King both scored tonight and had an assist each. Jonathan Quick stopped an impressive 23 shots. Tyler Toffoli and Dustin Brown scored as well, and Brayden McNabb had two assists.

ESPN.com reports the following on Jeff Carter’s game performance:

“Carter, a former Blue Jackets player continually booed by Columbus fans for asking to be traded, helped the Kings win the Stanley Cup after the deal three years ago. He has scored seven goals in 12 games against the Blue Jackets.

Jeff Carter hadn’t scored a point in the previous four games, but he was able to raise his career point total to 498.

The Kings held on to a 3-2 lead going into the third period, they doubled their edge.

ESPN.com reports:

Brown, at the top of the left circle, fed another former Blue Jackets player — Marian Gaborik — for a shot, with the deep rebound glancing directly to Brown, who was crashing the net. His rising shot beat McElhinney for his ninth of the season at 1:49.”

The Kings improved to 7-12-6 on the road.
