According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times the Los Angeles Angels have acquired Josh Rutledge.

The Angels parted ways with longtime second baseman Howie Kendrick earlier today in exchange for Andrew Henley. Josh Rutledge may be the replacement for Kendrick as he is listed as shortstop but can also play second base.

Rutledge played in 105 games last year and bat .269 with 16 doubles. The Angels did have to give up young pitching prosepct Jairo Diaz in the deal. He has been a back up to one of the best short stops in the league to Troy Tulowitzki.

Rutledge is just 24 years-old and if he plays well he can make Los Angeles his home for a long time.
